This community event will be hosted by Steered Straight's Michael Deleon as he dives into the importance of educating families and community members on the impact of drugs and alcohol and ways that they can help. Audience members will learn about the 40 developmental assets and how to use these protective factors in their families. The purpose of this session will be to gain a better understanding about the nature of substance abuse and addiction as well as tips, conversation points and advice as to how to better prevent drug and alcohol use from affecting your student.
Appropriate for ages 13 and older.
